Most of the alkyd and oil paintings are on masonite which is glued into handmade wooden frames.  Most frames are stained and varnished although some are painted black.  The painting is “floated” inside the frame so that all edges are visible.  (A professional framer would be able to snap the frame away from the painting if reframing is desired.)   The works on paper are matted with white or off-white and the frames are mostly metal.  Works on paper will be shipped with Plexiglas rather than glass to avoid breakage.
